1. Overview

FileAlloy provides a PDF processing API and a set of free browser based tools. By using the website, the free tools, or the API, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Accounts

To use the direct API you create an account at app.filealloy.com by signing in with GitHub or your email. You are responsible for keeping your login and your API keys private, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe a key has been exposed; you can revoke and replace keys at any time from your dashboard.

3. The API and free tools

You can access the API directly through your FileAlloy account, or through the RapidAPI marketplace. If you use RapidAPI, your use is also subject to RapidAPI's terms. Each request is authenticated with an API key and metered against your plan. The free browser tools run entirely on your device.

4. Plans, billing, and cancellation

The Basic plan is free. Paid plans are billed as monthly subscriptions through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method the plan's monthly fee, which renews automatically each month until you cancel. Each plan includes a monthly request quota that resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC).

You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non refundable, including for unused quota or partial months. We may change plan pricing or features with reasonable notice, with changes taking effect on your next renewal. If a payment fails, we may downgrade or suspend paid access until it is resolved.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to process content you do not have the right to process, to break the law, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service. We may rate limit or suspend access that threatens the stability or security of the platform, and may terminate accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.

6. Files and privacy

API requests are processed in memory and are not stored. The free browser tools run entirely on your device and never upload your files. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

7. Availability and changes

The service is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileAlloy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profit, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

FileAlloy is operated from France. These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
